Last Sunday, we were still down in Manchester visiting our family. We went over to visit Miss Baby K, my Sister and her partner with the intention of taking the kids to the park but the weather had other plans. Instead, we packed the kids into my car and us girls went shopping whilst the Dads stayed at home and floored the loft. We went to John Lewis as I had some vouchers left from Christmas and got a few things and then nipped into Sainsburys to get some bits. Miss Baby K made me laugh as she had moaned whilst we were clothes shopping but as soon as we walked down the chocolate aisle, she was cooing with delight!
On Monday, we went to Toys R Us to get some birthday present inspiration for Wee Z and Miss C. We managed to get a few things and Wee Z had spotted a magnifying glass, which we got for him as a treat. He'd been playing with Bella's magnifying glass so was very excited to get his very own one. I like to keep things fair between the kids, so I told Miss C she could choose something as a treat too. She picked out a My Little Pony car which was huge! I couldn't find the price but had a horrible feeling it wasn't going to cost the same as Wee Z's magnifying glass at £6.99. Husband went to check the price whilst I encouraged Miss C to look at the other, less expensive toys, when he came running back saying, "it's only £7.49!" Miss C was delighted with her bargain purchase, as was I!
On Tuesday, it was time to leave Bella and Pops and come back home. It was sad saying goodbye to them but we were all happy to get back to our home comforts and our own beds!
On Wednesday, we spent the afternoon making Easter Nest Cakes. My MIL also came over and brought the kids their Easter eggs.
On Thursday, I met up with Mummy N and Wee L at the swimming pool with Miss C. Wee Z and Miss E went to their kids club where they went ice-skating, had fun at soft play and did some Easter arts and crafts. We then went to McDonalds for lunch. We had a lovely day with our friends!
On Friday, we spent the day indoors as Miss C was feeling poorly. Wee Z's God Mummy came to visit and we spent the afternoon catching up and watching cartoons.
On Saturday, Husband went to the gym with Miss C's Godfather whilst I walked into town with the kids to meet them. I had been awake most of the night with a migraine so I thought the fresh air might help perk me up a bit. I noticed Miss C had some gunk in her eye which looked a lot like conjunctivitis. After meeting Husband and Miss C's Godfather at the gym, we went on an adventure to try and find a pharmacist to prescribe some eye drops for Miss C so we didn't have to wait until Tuesday to see a Doctor. Luckily our pharmacist was in and we got some eye drops and Miss C's eye is looking much better already.
