Spring is in the air, everywhere I look around...
Ahhh, I can't believe it is March already. Perhaps because we have a routine every day of things to do, such as school runs, work, play, cleaning and cooking that the days, weeks and months just seem to pass by in a blink. It's kind of sad in a way too because we probably don't often take a break and just look at life and everything that surrounds us.
This month we have a few birthdays to celebrate. This month it's my sister's birthday and also my Mum's birthday. Last year we made a surprise visit to see her however, this year, she knows we're coming. I'm looking forward to seeing them all.
At the end of the month, Wee Z, Miss C and I are off to Manchester to
see my Mum and the rest of the family. Husband is staying at home to
work and do some DIY. I'm not sure he knows about the DIY bit yet...
looking forward to our trip but I'm nervous about driving myself with
the kids. I have done the drive before however, Husband was with me to
keep the kids entertained and to keep me right. He hates being a
passenger and I hate being a passenger but there is some reassurance in
having another adult in the car to keep you sane when the "Are we nearly there yet?" starts.
It is also Mother's Day on the 10th. Usually I get some lovely cards and the kids made cupcakes for me last year which was lovely. I'm hoping for a nice dinner and some chocolate treats! Us Mums deserve something special.
So Spring is finally here. I hope the sun keeps shining and maybe this month can slow down a bit and we can just enjoy all the signs of new life appearing. And the old ones ageing!
