Mine! - Book Review

We received Mine! to review from Parragon. This is a picture book written by Sarah Hammond and illustrated by Laura Hughes.

Mine! is about a little girl called Kitty and she's playing cafe with her teddies, serving them yummy cakes and cups of tea. Her friend Lea arrives to play and she decides that they should have music in the cafe and get all the teddies up dancing. Kitty isn't happy and goes off, sulking, into her tent. She soon realises that being on her own in her tent isn't as much fun as playing with Lea.

This book made me smile as it reminded me of how my Sister and I used to be when we were younger. Wee Z was able to read the book to Miss C confidently and Miss C loved looking at all the pretty pictures in the book. She also said the girls reminded her of her two favourite Disney Princesses; Merida and Rapunzel.

We really enjoyed this book and thought it was a lovely story to explore friendships and how we all have different ways in which to use our imagination to play.

We received this book for the purposes of a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
