From Newborn to Starting School

It's such a cliche to say but it is so very true; children grow up so fast. It doesn't seem like 7 years ago from when Z came in to our lives. Nor does it seem like 5 years ago from when Miss C came in to our lives. Time has passed us by in the blink of an eye.

Fairy Non Bio have put together a video, Fairy Non Bio The Softest They’ll Ever Be, which just sums up how quickly time passes when you have children. When they asked Mums of school aged children what they missed about the pre-school days, a quarter of them said it was those super soft kisses and cuddles, 43% said it was their child and 28% said it was just the constant background noise.

I remember, as I held my babies in my arms, enjoying baby soft cuddles, thinking about when they would first roll over, first sit up, take their first steps, say their first word; literally willing them to grow up and reach those milestones. Now that both of them are in school, I wish I could have those moments back. The days when we would just sit on the couch and have a baby cuddle. When they would only have eyes for me (or sometimes their Daddy) and would quite happily spend all day in my arms if I let them.

It is such a cliche but it really is true; saviour every moment with your newborn. Take lots of photos and videos. The housework can wait. Make memories that will last you a lifetime because they really do grow up so fast.
