The Four Little Pigs - Book Review

The Four Little Pigs is another new picture book from Maverick Books. The book is written by Kimara Nye and illustrated by Marcin Bruchnalski.

This is the story of a little boy called Tom and his Granny Mag who is actually a witch. When Tom goes to spend the night with her, something magical always happens. Granny Mag chooses a story to read to Tom at bedtime; The Three Little Pigs. Tom thinks the book is boring so Granny Mag casts a magical spell which transports Tom in to the story, turns him in to a piglet boy and he has to work with the three pigs to avoid being eaten by the wolf. That is no problem for Tom as he knows the story so well.

This is a brilliant twist on the original story with really fun illustrations throughout. We loved that Tom was transported in to the story to help the pigs as this is something we like to imagine when we read other books. What would it be like to go in to that story? I ask. We really enjoyed reading The Four Little Pigs.

The Four Little Pigs is available to buy from Amazon.

We received this book for the purposes of a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
