The Week That Was #18

Last Sunday, I woke up to Miss C telling me the cat wanted to go out and I saw she was already dressed for horse riding. This is always the case when it's horse riding Sunday! I went downstairs and found that Miss C had emptied the dishwasher, set the table for breakfast and been in to my living room to open the curtains and blinds! At horse riding, Miss C rode Jocky who was feeling rather feisty. She almost came off him but she held on really tight and managed to stay on. One of the risks of the hobby! Husband took the kids to their swimming lessons and I got on with making the dinner. I was ready for an early night after my early rise.

On Monday, it was back to school and college. It was a long day for me and my head was hurting when I got home. The weather had turned too! It was snowing for a bit! Z was finishing off homework whilst Miss C was dressing up as Scooby Doo when I got home. We had a yummy tea of sausages, egg and pasta shapes. Not filling enough for me as I ended up having some toast when the kids when to bed.

On Tuesday, college went slightly better even if the weather was miserable. We were given deadlines for absolutely everything we need to do and it's looking really manageable which is a huge relief. I even got to finish a bit early! I  picked the kids up from my friend's house and we came home to do homework and have some snack. The kids played their tablets before dinner and then managed to enjoy some sunshine in the garden before bedtime.

On Wednesday, it was pouring down. I went to placement and Husband took the kids to school in the car. We spent most of the day inside because it was so miserable. When we got home, Miss C showed me some of her art work from school and we made a card for a boy in her class who wasn't feeling too well.

On Thursday, the weather was much better and we managed to walk to school. When we all got home, Z wanted to play outside with his football whilst Miss C decided she wanted to wear her onesie. After dinner we watched a little bit of TV before bedtime.

On Friday, I dropped the kids off at school and headed to the shops to get my food shopping. I picked up a bargain lot of Disney films! I got Homeward Bound and Homeward Bound 2 at 2 for £5 and all 6 of the Tinker Bell films for £18! Homeward Bound was one of my favourite films growing up! After school, the kids played before dinner and then Z headed to his Friday club with his best friend. Miss C and I snuggled up in bed together to watch The Fox and the Hound.

On Saturday, Z was up early for Karate which Husband took him to, giving me the chance to get on with some ironing and catch up on Hollyoaks. We also watched excitedly to see when the Royal Baby would be born. We were delighted to hear that we have a new Princess. After lunch we headed in to town to pick up some bits. We were out for a good few hours which meant we were knackered when we got home and decided to order Chinese food and watch Homeward Bound.
