The Week That Was #23

Last Sunday, the boys and Miss C woke up at 7am. I was shattered and I imagine they were too but they were just too excited to play. They had breakfast, got dressed and did their teeth then played some games. Connect 4 and bingo were popular. After lunch they played some Minecraft as it was freezing outside. So cold, in fact, I had to put my heating on! The boys got picked up at 2pm and then Miss C and Z watched a Star Wars film (Episode 5 I think) and I had a nap. We had salmon pasta for dinner followed by apple pie that our friend made from scratch. It was delicious.

On Monday, it was back to school and college for us. I dropped the kids off and headed to college for the day. I managed to get signed off from two classes which means I've done all of the work required and I don't need to attend them. Excellent news given I still have three weeks of college left. I got away in time to pick the kids up from school too which was great, especially since it was Wee Z's birthday. We headed home to do homework and play with his new toys. We had chili for dinner and then had a piece of cake for pudding.

On Tuesday, I managed to get signed off from all of my classes! That means I don't need to go to college on a Tuesday any more. I picked the kids up from school and we walked home since the wind and rain had finally gone away. Z played football outside whilst Miss C wanted to watch one of her new DVDs she got for her birthday. We had a yummy chicken korma for dinner and then finished off the rest of Z's birthday cake.

On Wednesday, it was placement day. It went in quite quickly and when I got home, the sun was shining. I hung out my washing when the kids got home and they enjoyed playing on the trampoline. They then filmed a few vlogs for me under the title what mummy does...They were quite funny, especially Z's.

On Thursday, I had the day off placement. I had a few things to do which took me all day and then I picked the kids up from school. We came home and the kids told me all about their days at school. They've been taking part in health week so they've been doing lots of fun activities. Not so fun for me having to wash all the muddy clothes but they had a great time.

On Friday, I had a bit of a lazy day since all my college work is done. I'm hoping they don't surprise us with a last minute task! I cleaned the house, did the shopping and then picked the kids up from school. It was lovely and sunny when I got them so they came home and played outside. We had pizza for dinner which was yummy. Z went off to his club after dinner whilst Miss C, Husband and I all watched Alice in Wonderland.

On Saturday, Husband took Z to Karate. After lunch, we picked up Z's best friend and headed to a local shopping centre so Miss C and Z could spend some of their birthday money. Miss C wanted to get her ears pierced so I took her to Claire's Accessories and she picked out her earrings. Unfortunately she then saw a girl getting hers done and I think it put her off. She tried sitting in the chair and got as far as having the guns near her ears and then said she didn't want to get them done. We left the shop feeling a bit frustrated after waiting 40 minutes but totally understanding her changing her mind. We headed to a couple of clothes shops to get some bits for our holiday and then took the kids to Build a Bear. Miss C chose a dragon with light up horns and Z's friend bought himself Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. We headed home and ordered Chinese for dinner.
