A New Sofa for our Living Room

One of the key features of a living room, I feel, is a comfortable place to sit. A sofa or armchair that looks both inviting and cosy is something I want guests in my home to see when they walk into our lounge.

We re-decorated our lounge a few years ago now and I'd eventually like to give the room a whole new look and possibly look at a different style of sofa to the one we currently have. We have a 3 seater and a 2 seater with huge cushions in a fabric material. It's so comfortable and we love to snuggle up together to watch TV at the weekends. Whilst we currently have a brown and cream set, I'd love to go for something grey or white in this style:

The only draw back of a 3 seater and a 2 seater is they take up quite a bit of room. I would love to have a corner sofa like this one to save on space and to make the sofa area one where all of our friends or family can sit together and enjoy a cup of something hot:

I prefer to have quite neutral colours throughout the house and I add splashes of colour with canvases, vases, candles or cushions. Something I've been lusting after for awhile though is a Chaise Longue. I'd place it under my window in our lounge so I could lie down when the sun was shining through and read a book. I really love the pattern on this one:

Whilst a new sofa may be a few years away yet, it's fun to shop around and feel inspired. What sort of sofa do you like?
