As Quiet As a Mouse - Book Review

As Quiet As a Mouse is one of three brand new picture books from Maverick Books. It is written by Karen Owen and illustrated by Evgenia Golubeva.

This is a story about an elephant called Edgar who has a new baby sister. He has to try and be a bit quieter because he keeps waking his baby sister with all the noise he makes. He finds this quite hard. Luckily he has a good friend called Ruby who sends him to meet some mice and learn how to be as quiet as a mouse.

This is a lovely story about friendship and how trying and trying again can help you become better at something.

The book is beautifully illustrated with lots of bright colours. I love that the elephants have different patterns of their ears. Edgar has triangles on his ears which offers you another talking point with your children as you read the story.

We received this book for the purposes of a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
