The Week That Was #39

Last Sunday, Husband and I got up just after 10am after stumbling in to bed at nearly 3am. I didn't feel too bad as I stopped drinking quite early on in the evening. My sensible hat was on! It's hard going when you have two children who like to talk a lot and you have a hangover! Husband took the kids for a bike ride to the park and I got on with the ironing. We had a yummy dinner of roast beef with all the trimmings followed by a jam roll with custard. It was just what I needed to give me some energy after a very late night.

On Monday, I took the kids to school and came home to get on with some college work. I had to go to college at 2pm for 2 hours. It was such a lovely day, I felt a bit sad having to go in but the 2 hours quickly passed. I picked the kids up from my friend's house and we headed home to have fajitas for dinner. Husband had to work late but he managed to get home just in time to say goodnight to the kids.

On Tuesday, I dropped the kids off at school and came home to finish off my college work so I was all up to date for going on holiday. It was another gorgeous day so I got a washing on and hung out after school. The kids played outside with my neighbour's grandson for ages. It reminded me of the fun my Sister and I used to have playing with my Gran's neighbour's daughter.

On Wednesday, I had a pretty full on day! I dropped the kids off at school and headed in to town to meet a friend for coffee and cake. We had a good catch up and she very kindly gave me some beautiful flowers for my birthday. After school, another washing was on and hung out as it was a beautiful day. I got my hair cut, my nails done and my eye lashes tinted, all for going on holiday. Then I stubbed my toe really badly. Husband thought I may have broken it. Either way, it was really, really sore. Thankfully my gelish wasn't ruined!

On Thursday, it was my birthday. I headed to college and received some lovely presents from the girls there. The day went pretty fast considering I was really just about in holiday mode. I got a bit of a shock when I read that the school had an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea and lots of kids had been sent home. Thankfully, Z and Miss C were fine but I decided to keep them off school on Friday to be on the safe side. We had pizza for dinner and then watched a movie.

On Friday, I got up and got ready. I cleaned the house, I checked everything was packed and ready to go. I let the kids play Minecraft since they won't get to play it for over 2 weeks. Not that they'll miss it I'm sure. We got the car packed up and headed to Bella and Pops' house where we spent the night before heading to the airport to catch our plane!

See you in two weeks!
