On Monday, it was back to placement for me and to school for the kids. The day went in quickly despite having to stay until 4.45pm instead of my usual 3.45pm. The day was made so much better when I came home to find Miss C had been awarded Pupil of the Week at school for wonderful work in Maths. We promised her a treat for doing well. We had fajitas for dinner and then I ran a bath to relax after a long day.
On Tuesday, placement went in quickly again. When I got home, I made meatballs with tagliatelle for dinner with garlic bread on the side. It was really good. I was so tired that once the kids were in bed, I went to bed too.
On Wednesday, it was my day off and I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and crumpets whilst doing some work. I picked the kids up from school and we came home to crackers with cheese and a hot cup of tea for me. Miss C read her school book, which we read every day of the week and then we watched a bit of TV before dinner.
On Thursday, it was back to college for me. It was meant to snow overnight but thankfully it didn't. The pavements were a bit slippy though so we had to take our time walking to school. We are just finishing semester one of college so I didn't have a lot to do since all my work is up to date. I got to go home early which is always a bonus on college days!
On Friday, it was a bit chilly and frosty to start with but as the day went on, the sun found its way from behind the clouds and it was so nice to see blue skies again! I didn't go in to college as I was able to do the work I needed to do from home. I picked the kids up from school and when we got home, we got changed in to our PJs as it was starting to ice up again and we planned on going nowhere. We had dinner and then watched The Rescuers for the first time. Such a sad but lovely film! It's definitely candle weather just now!
On Saturday, the snow was back. It started off quite light but ended up heavy and covering the ground outside. Miss C and I went to Asda to get our food shop for the week and, as a reward for getting Pupil of the Week at school, Miss C got to pick a treat from the toy shop. She chose a My Little Pony blind bag and a Littlest Pet Shop blind bag. Husband headed out for the afternoon with his friends to celebrate his birthday and the kids and I stayed inside, cosy and warm, with pizza and a DVD.
