31 Day Blogging Challenge - My Blog Name

I've been writing my blog for almost seven years now so it is inevitable that, at some stage, I wonder what to write about. Sometimes I feel like I'm blogging the same things over and over, especially since we have quite a structured or routine week because of school, college and work. Even our weekends are quite similar because we have hobbies or things to do.

I came across the 30 day blogging challenge and thought it would be a fun task to try. I've added in an extra day at the end, which I'm still deciding on a theme for, because it is March and there are 31 days in March. Some of the themes mean I can share some old posts with new readers and hopefully you'll get to know us a bit better.

So the first theme is - Your Blog Name!

I started writing my blog back in July 2009. Before writing my first post, I knew I had to think of a name for my blog. I wanted something that would be memorable and catchy; something that suited my humour and writing style. I came up with Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy within 30 seconds. At the time, there were so many stories in the press of celebrity mums springing back in to shape after giving birth a mere two weeks beforehand. They were the ultimate Yummy Mummies with no Flabby Tummies whereas I was thinking Yummy cause I like to eat lots of food and a Mummy with a Flabby Tummy because of a) having children and b) eating too much yummy food.

To this day I haven't changed!

Would I change my blog name now? No! Yes it might get a few raised eyebrows or laughs and may not pass as the most serious blog to work with but that was never my intention when I started blogging. I blog for my family and me, so that the kids can look back on their adventures and stories in years to come.

If you are interested and haven't read it before, this is the first blog post I ever wrote; I love it when they're sleeping.
