First Place in the 3 Legged Race

On Thursday and Friday, I headed to the school sports days. Charlotte's was on Thursday and, apart from taking part in the the flat race, she didn't want to do any of the obstacle courses. Zachary's was on Friday and because he is in the upper school, they have slightly different races to take part in. The first was the flat race and then they did the 3 legged race.

I remember sports days when I was at school. I got picked to do the 1500m and I was rubbish at it; I think I came in last. I'm better as a short distance runner which is why I don't mind taking part in the mum's race at school. I was rubbish at the egg and spoon race, name the sport, I was rubbish at it.

Zachary was partnered with one of his best friends. They set off at a good, steady pace. They had a technique and it was working for them. Before them, the kids had tried to run with many falling over and dragging their partner along the grass. It was quite funny to watch. But Zachary and his friend didn't try to run. They were cool, calm and in tune with each other, working as a team.

They came first!

Zachary was delighted!
