Charlotte and I were up, raring to go for our horse riding lesson on Sunday. Charlotte rode Bobbie, who got a bit of fright going over a jump and almost took off with her. Thankfully she held on and she was fine. I got a fright but she wasn't bothered. I rode Barney, who I've ridden before and enjoyed. He wouldn't go into canter for me but they've been doing summer camp for the last three weeks so they are all knackered. He did do a jump for me which was great. After lunch, I cleaned the car, inside and out, before it started to rain!
It was a beautiful day on Monday so we took advantage of the nice weather and spent the morning at the park. Charlotte managed to get herself going on the swing so I'm no longer needed for pushing. Instead I read my book whilst they played.
On Tuesday, the kids headed to a farm park with their Papa. They were only supposed to be going for an hour to his house whilst I went to a work meeting but Papa decided to take them for a holiday treat. They had a great time and looked shattered when they got home. My work meeting went really well and I'm looking forward to going back to work - on the in-service day!
The kids headed to their clubs on Wednesday. Charlotte went swimming and make a chocolate finger biscuit whilst Zachary played badminton for most of the day. I met my friend for a coffee and cake at Costa and then headed home to tidy and clean. I had spaghetti hoops on toast for lunch, It was really good!
The kids have had a very busy week and Thursday was no exception. They went to see Finding Dory after their lunch with their Gran. They told me it was really good. I can't wait to see it but I think I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD. It had brightened up after dinner and Charlotte wanted to play outside with her bubbles.
On Friday, after an early lunch, we headed to Dumfries House. I've never been before so I was looking forward to visiting and seeing this park that everyone raves about. We went with our friends and had a great time exploring the grounds and playing in the park. Of course, ice cream was in order after all the walking. It was a great afternoon and we were shattered by the time we got home.
We had a very busy day on Saturday. After shopping, Karate and lunch, we went to buy school shoes for the kids. I got some bits for myself from Primark and H&M and I also picked up a few t-shirts for Charlotte. I spotted these gorgeous bags from Floozie French, one of my favourite bag designers in Debenhams, but couldn't choose between them. I think I'll pop them on my birthday wish list. After dinner, we cuddled up on the couch to watch some TV before Husband headed out with his friend for the night.
