Evening Bike Rides

When we lived in Edinburgh, my Gran kept our bikes at her house. My Mum and Stepdad rented a flat so there wasn't the space to keep them there and we hadn't had bikes in Mexico because, again, we lived in a flat. Getting out to ride my bike was one of my favourite things to do. I remember the time my bike was stolen from my Gran's shed. I was so upset but thankfully it was found and handed in to the local police station. I got it back and I was so incredibly happy.

My Gran lived at the bottom of a hill and we used to cycle from her house to the shops at the top of the hill. Our most favourite thing to do was to come fleeing down the hill, wind in our hair and feet off the pedals. Sometimes we wouldn't brake until the very last minute.

Charlotte takes her love of cycling from me. She can pedal so fast now and flies around on her bike outside our house. As soon as she has finished her dinner, she's desperate to get out to ride her bike.
